Incentives

Investing in efficiency, with public support

Digitalising your production management isn't only an operational choice: it's an investment that the Italian State supports through a range of funding schemes. Plasma is built to make that step concrete — with no hardware investment required — and to help you capture the fiscal advantage that comes with it.

The incentive landscape changes frequently and every scheme has its own requirements. Below is an up-to-date map of what’s available today, and of how a platform like Plasma can fit into your digital transformation project.

The 2026 landscape

The incentives available today

An overview of the national and regional instruments that can support your digitalisation project.

New Transizione 5.0 Plan – Iperammortamento (enhanced depreciation)

As of the 2026 Budget Law, the previous tax credit has been replaced by an uplift on the acquisition cost of new capital assets — both tangible and intangible — that support the company's digital and energy transition. It applies to investments made between 1 January 2026 and 30 September 2028. The benefit is fiscal in nature (higher deductible depreciation for income-tax purposes), rather than a credit offsettable via the F24 form.

Nuova Sabatini

An interest-rate contribution on financing for capital assets, including software and digital technologies. It can be combined with most other schemes and carries no energy-saving requirement.

Regional digitalisation grants and vouchers

Many Italian regions fund — through grants or subsidised rates — the adoption of management software, cloud solutions and Industry 4.0/5.0 projects. These are often the best-suited instrument for a subscription-based platform like Plasma, as they typically also cover service and consulting costs.

ZES Unica (companies in Southern Italy)

Businesses located in the South can access a tax credit on productive investments, which in certain configurations can be combined with national schemes.

Staff training

Several schemes also cover the training tied to adopting new technologies — an item that's easy to overlook, yet directly affects the real return on the investment.

Residual Transizione 5.0 credit (2024–2025 investments)

If you accrued the tax credit for investments completed by 31 December 2025, it remains usable as an offset according to the annual instalments set out in the regulations.

Where Plasma fits

The software, and the documentation to support it

Plasma is a software platform for digitalising production management: shop-floor data capture, traceability, process control and waste reduction.

Depending on how the project is structured — licence, subscription, activation and training services — adopting Plasma may fall under one or more of the schemes above. The precise treatment depends on the contractual setup and on the technical requirements involved (for example, interconnection with company systems), and should always be assessed case by case.

That’s why we don’t just supply the software: we provide the technical documentation needed to support the funding application, so your advisor can assess eligibility with all the facts in hand.

The right moment

Why act now

The instruments available in 2026 are substantial, the procedures more settled and the technologies mature. Companies that digitalise now turn a cost into a supported investment; those that wait risk chasing a market that has moved on in the meantime.
